The
Lubbock Chapter is an organization of students, and a recognized
organization at Texas Tech. It is a mission sponsored by the Texas
District, Lutheran Church -Missouri Synod, and locally supported by
Redeemer Lutheran, Christ Lutheran, and Hope Lutheran of the Missouri
Synod and Shepherd King Lutheran, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of the
Evangelical Lutheran Churches in America (ELCA). All focus on a common
goal. The Lutheran Student Fellowship (LSF) is a family of college
students seizing everyday opportunities to reach out with the love of
Christ.
Fellowship
As with the national mission, we support and care for one another in
college life and provide means and opportunities to get together often. We
have one or two retreats per year to explore various facets of Christian
life in the college world of Texas Tech, Lubbock Christian University,
South Plains.
We
reach out to all students who know Christ and want to grow and to those
who don't know the Lord. We invite all into the family of God and want to
grow.
We
participate in servant events and mission trips during spring break and
summer. These provide our students an opportunity to serve people in
need, and spread the Gospel.
We
provide Bible studies to help people grow in the faith. These
studies are enlightening and provide insight to the word.
All
this is to help us keep in touch with our Christian brothers and sisters
with events, news, and other resources. It is our prayer that
Lutheran Student Fellowship (LSF) may touch your life, and you are welcome
to be a part of ours as well.
